Black’s Island is only accessible by boat or aircraft. Ferry service is irregular, and must be pre-arranged in advance of your arrival. We can accommodate most vessels up to 50′, and regularly welcome our fly-in guests via seaplane and helicopter. It is a pleasant 10 minute trip between mainland and island.
By Land: Black’s Island is located in Gulf County, Florida, on 30A.
By Sea: Enter St. Joseph Bay from the north out of the Gulf of Mexico

By Air: Panama City Beach International Airport (ECP) is just under 1.5 hour drive from our mainland marina. Private pilots may wish to fly into Apalachicola Regional Airport, which is only 20-30 minutes away.
You could come to Black’s Island and just wing it. You’d still have an amazing time. But to make the most out of your visit, you’ll want to do a little planning ahead. Prior to embarking for our secluded tropical island, we recommend making a few stops in nearby Port St. Joe:
