Black's Island is located in the Florida panhandle near the city of Port St. Joe in the middle of the pristine St. Joseph Bay.

Situated on a coastline that runs predominately east and west, the island stretches ten degrees east of true north and south, paralleling Cape San Blas and the St. Joseph Peninsula, which together form St. Joseph Bay. The bay is approximately 15 miles long north to south, and 6 miles wide at its widest point.

Blacks Island lies within the bay, two miles east of the mainland, but twelve miles     south of the mouth of St. Joe Bay.

The St. Joseph Peninsula forms the T.H. Stone Memorial-St. Joseph Peninsula State Park, while the bay itself includes the St. Joseph Bay State Buffer Preserve and the St. Joseph Bay Aquatic Preserve.

Our one acre mainland dock and support site is located at 2049 Hwy. 30A in                  Simmons Bayou (approximately 5 miles south of Port St. Joe). From the land base it     is a short 10 minute ferry ride to the island.
